Arturo is a 29-year-old male polar bear currently living in Argentina’s Mendoza Zoo. He is suffering in 40C (104F) heat in an enclosure that has just 20 inches of water for him to swim in and has as a consequence been displaying worrying behavior.
Please sign this petition or at least spread the word in order to have Arturo transferred to a zoo in Canada which has better facilities for an animal that is used to polar conditions.

Ever since I saw butterbel make my pancake recipe and eat it with bacon and maple syrup I’ve been obsessed. I know Canadians do that but it’s never crossed my mind!
I switched the recipe up a bit today to sway the macros more towards protein since when eating with bacon they become very fat dominated (which is fine for keto general purposes but due to the deficit I’m currently eating at I need to get protein into the calories I’m consuming)
This massive serving of pancakes which is serving as my breakfast and lunch is made with: 2 large eggs 100g egg whites 20g psyllium husk 50g cream cheese Cinnamon Salt Vanilla essence
Beat the eggs and egg whites, add the cream cheese at room temperature (can microwave to soften), add psyllium husk, add rest of ingredients (all while continuing to beat). At the end I usually add a few tablespoons of water to thin the mixture a little. I cook the bacon first and then cook the pancakes in the bacon fat which just makes them even more fucking magical.
The macros for this massive serve (with 3 pieces of streaky bacon + butter on top + sugar free maple syrup) are: 890 cals 70g fat 5g net carbs 38g protein

Marinated in italian herbs chicken thigh fillet with cherry tomatoes, avocado, carrot, mushroom, alfalfa, bean sprouts, lettuce, capsicum and a tiny bit of italian fat free dressing.

I am having such a tough day today. I have been busting my butt at the gym hard out for weeks, watching what i eat pretty seriously, preparing food and really trying to watch how much food i am eating. I have had a few slip ups lately and let myself drink far too much cola last week however i have continued to gain weight the last 3 or 4 weeks. I finally hit my lowest and then the next day i was straight back up above 89 again and today i’m 90.6. My stomach is bloated and i’m looking awfully flabby even to the point where my mum has said my tummy looks big.
I’m trying so hard, and i know it might only be temporary (its been 2 months at a plateau btw!) but i’m struggling with the idea of never getting any lower than where i am now.
According to the BMI calculator (and i know its a bunch of poo) but i would need to be 68 kilos to be a “healthy weight” which is total bullshit! I don’t ever want to be that small!!! and i deserve not to have the overweight tag if i chose to stop at 75kgs!
I’m just having such a hard time today, i really am trying hard not to cry and i know scales aren’t relevant of my worth and all that body confident stuff we talk about, but when you go through a life changing operation like WLS you just wish you can keep the weight loss moving as long as you need it to.
Anyway, my 6 week challenge i set myself started yesterday and that is going well so far. Considering trying IIFYM but i don’t even know where to start and how hard that would be for me to prep for myself each day - i hate freezing and reheating food, microwaves freak me out (ha ha)
If anyone has any suggestions on cutting out certain foods (i’ve cut out lactose, considering cutting out all white carbs too) or any started info on IIFYM that would be amazing!!

#dinner was (and I am so proud of myself) a warm chicken salad from mcdonalds when all I wanted was nuggets. Followed by a slice of toast with baked beanz as I was still really hungry
Todays #workout was a return to outdoor training/bootcamp and was pure boxing. Loved it!!!
